Billy Batson was a gifted musician, actor, song writer. To commemorate his spirits we are doing a scholarship to celebrate his life, history and continue his legacy of enabling future musicians, artists, and passionate individuals to get access to education.
We invite all those who are currently enrolled or will be enrolled in an accredited college or university for the 2018/2019 academic year to share with us their own vision of how they plan to leave an imprint on this world.
We offer prizes for the first, second, third position in the prize amounts of: $3,500, $1,000, $500 respectively.
The application deadline for 2020-2021 academic year is Dec 31, 2019 at 6:00pm EST.
Essay details
In a 1,000 words or less, describe how you plan to leave an imprint on this world with your unique spirit.
Eligibility
Any legal U.S resident at least eighteen (18) years old who meets one of the following criteria:
- A high school senior who will be attending an accredited college or university in the next academic year.
- Currently attending an accredited college or university (undergraduate or graduate students are both eligible)
